Our Programmes

At Urban Community Project, we offer services that meet the real needs of young people and families in the BAME community. From counselling to youth group support and crisis intervention, everything we do is grounded in compassion and cultural understanding.

counseling

Youth Counselling

• One-to-one therapy for BAME/Muslim youth aged 16-25
• Supporting anxiety, social pressure, suicidal thoughts, identity issues, and more
• Delivered by COSCA-accredited professionals
• Sessions are £30/hour
• Open to mild to moderate mental health concerns

university-group

University Student Group

• Designed for Muslim and BAME university students
• Targeting those who feel isolated and aren’t accessing support. Two key elements:
• Mental health and wellbeing workshops
• One-to-one support, in collaboration with university services
• Pre-project surveys help tailor content to real needs

Crisis Intervention Service

• Short-term intensive support for young people and families in crisis. Includes:
• Initial home visit & risk assessment
• Weekly one-to-one support sessions
• Family mediation
• Community integration support

12-15group

12-15 Youth Group

• Safe, supportive space for young people aged 12–15
• Helps reduce isolation and promote self-esteem and identity
• Offers creative and reflective activities led by trained facilitators
